Baroness, whose real name is Anastasia Cisarovna, is Cobra Commander's intelligence officer and lieutenant. She fights alongside Storm Shadow against the G.I.JOE's who continually foil their plots. She is known for her black rimmed glasses, long black hair and form-fitting black, leather suit. She is an expert in cryptography, bio-chemical skin-irritants and psychological warfare. She first appeared in Marvel Comics G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #1 in June of 1982.
