Cobra Commander is the supreme leader of the terrorist organization Cobra and lead villain in the G.I.JOE series. His leadership style is that of ruling with an iron fist. He expects complete allegiance and demands loyalty of his associates. His entire goal is to control the world and he's constantly foiled by the Joe's, the heroes in this series led on the ground by Duke. He first appeared in the Marvel Comics series G.I.Joe: A Real American Hero #1 in June 1982 by Lara Hama, among others and as a mail-in toy figure.
