The Fertility Idol appeared in the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark. It was the golden treasure that Indiana Jones sought after with the help of his guide Satipo. Unknown to Indy, Satipo made plans to betray him. Once Jones grabbed the idol, the cave and it's assorted booby traps began to trigger and they have to escape quickly. Jones eventually is forced to toss Satipo the golden idol in exchange for his whip to swing across a deep hole. Unfortunately, Satipo betrays him, runs off with the treasure and doesn't throw him the whip, thus leaving Jones to die. In the end Indiana manages to depart the cave with the idol as the only survivor.
