Emperor Palpatine a.k.a Darth Sidious is a Sith and ruler of the Galactic Empire. Actor Ian McDiarmid first portrayed the character in Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back in 1980. He also portrays the villain in Episodes I, II, II, and VI. The Mighty Mugg above shows him in his typical hooded robes.
