Silver Surfer saved his home planet from being devoured by Galactus in return to being his herald for eternity. He gained powers from Galactus and surfs the universe for planets that his master can consume. He first appeared in Marvel Comics The Fantastic Four #48 in March 1966 by Jack Kirby. He is a main character in the film Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). The Mighty Mugg above portrays the hero in his silver suit and surf board.
