Thing is a superhero and member of the Fantastic Four. He first appeared in The Fantastic Four #1 in 1961. He gained his superhuman strength and rocky skin by being exposed to radiation from a cosmic ray storm during a ride into the upper atmosphere of Earth. The Fantastic Four were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Actor Michael Chiklis portrayed the rocky hero in the 2005 movie Fantastic Four and in the 2007 film Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. The Mighty Mugg above portrays him in his classic look.
